FAW

China FAW Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China FAW) is a large state-owned automobile enterprise group. Formerly known as the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant, it is one of the key construction projects of the national First Five-Year Plan. The foundation stone was laid in 1953. It was completed and put into production in 1956 and the first truck (Jiefang brand) in New China was manufactured. In 1958, the first car (Dongfeng brand) and the first limousine (Hongqi brand) in New China were manufactured. The establishment of FAW created the history of New China s automobile industry.
After seventy years of development, China FAW has established five major production bases in Northeast China, North China, East China, South China, and Southwest China, and built a global R&D layout. It owns independent brands such as Hongqi, Jiefang, and Pentium, as well as joint ventures such as Volkswagen (Audi) and Toyota. brand, with a cumulative production and sales of more than 57 million vehicles, ranking first in the Chinese automobile industry in terms of sales volume.
